In addition, we had our first mystery reader! Aspen Hadfield met the 4H family last Friday. She had me read her favorite book, she sang her favorite song, and she had a dance party with the kiddos. We had so much fun!

Creating a Classroom Community in 4H!
In the past few weeks, 4H has had a blast with a variety of team building activities and a special guest reader. Some of those team building activities included a hula hoop game, Masterchef competition, face painting, and morning game choice. Getting to know our new 4H family is so important to our classroom community. Learning how to work with each other and positive communication is of the utmost importance within the 4H family.
In addition, we had our first mystery reader! Aspen Hadfield met the 4H family last Friday. She had me read her favorite book, she sang her favorite song, and she had a dance party with the kiddos. We had so much fun!

Happy First Day of School- 2018-2019
The first day of school was an exciting start to a wonderful year! The students of 4H made great first impressions. They participated in learning school and classroom expectations, team building activities, organizational practices, and class meetings. Below are pictures from our first team building activity for this week. The circle-sitting challenge...they all had to work together by sitting on each other all at once. It took three times, but the students figured out how to complete this task with success.

Pen-Pal Field Trip
We had a wonderful time meeting our pen-pals from Ellisville Elementary! Most of our time was spent getting to know them through different STEM activities. All of the students were given a tour of the building, and then in a fun discussion talked about the similarities and differences of both schools. Then, we had lunch and got some time to spend outside on that beautiful day we were so lucky to have. We are excited to bring our Ellisville pen-pals to Reed School this May!
