Pen-Pal Field Trip

We had a wonderful time meeting our pen-pals from Ellisville Elementary! Most of our time was spent getting to know them through different STEM activities. All of the students were given a tour of the building, and then in a fun discussion talked about the similarities and differences of both schools. Then, we had lunch and got some time to spend outside on that beautiful day we were so lucky to have. We are excited to bring our Ellisville pen-pals to Reed School this May!

Harmonica

Harmonica anyone? In the past two weeks 4H participated in harmonica lessons with the Sandman. For the last day, students in 4H performed blues songs that they wrote. Attached are some videos from our final day.

Technology in 4H!

Robotics and Hour of Code are just two examples of how technology and STEM are being accessed in 4H! Below are pictures from one of our robotics lessons. Over a span of a couple of weeks students in 4H built and coded robots to move through a maze. Some were more successful than others:) However, more importantly the kids had a blast!

Another special day in 4H is when we had a guest from Monsanto come and walk us through the Hour of Code. This allowed students to practice their coding skills while playing games that they helped create.
